There’s a story behind every film. And part of what makes filmmaking so important to me is that it allows me to capture a slice of time – a slice of my perspective and feelings – at a single moment and save it for later.

Time flies regardless of the decisions we make and the traumas we endure, but it’s our job to let these experiences better us as time leads us forward. This is the sentiment behind In Your Time, and in a way this is a continuation of the premise behind To Those Who Dream.

You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.

The travel film was produced in Final Cut Pro X with motion graphics in After Effects. The skills I taught myself in creating this film have long endured into many future projects – client and personal alike.
